The lady featured in this video was politely asked to speak in a more hushed tone as she got onto the silent carriage, yelling down her mobile phone. In a train carriage full of children, the elderly lady who had politely asked her to quiet down was then attacked by a barrage of unnecessary swear words and insults, to which she calmly continued to ask the yeller to stop. After a few minutes of this, I found that the train carriage had emptied itself. Still, this didn't deter her from continually yelling insults at the elderly lady. If this doesn't scream disrespect, I don't know what does. The fact that the woman yelling isn't ashamed of her behaviour is incomprehensible.
In Hong Kong, there is a prevalent dislike for those who come down from the mainland. In addition to the yelling, the spitting, the shoving, the cutting of queues and pissing on the streets, this obnoxious display is another one of the reasons why Chinese people from the mainland get a bad rep. That is not to say that all people from the mainland will act this way, as that is a terrible generalization. That being said, I have witnessed more than a few handfuls of these altercations, this footage being an example of one....
For shame, lady. Have some respect.
If anyone has got a translation, I'd be more than willing to put it up.
